McCain makes Nasty Joke about Chelsea as a Teenager

Ten years ago, McCain told a cruel joke about Chelsea to a group of Republicans:
"Why is Chelsea Clinton so ugly?
Because her father is Janet Reno."
This “joke” is horrible on mnay levels:

Chelsea is and was beautiful -- not that the appearance of anyoe should matter.
It's never acceptable to make a joke about looks, but Chelsea was a minor at the time.
The joke was homophobic.
It is a revealing look into McCain's character
